| The expanded and out-of-print CD release of the original soundtrack to the acclaimed mini-series LONESOME DOVE Starring Robert Duvall (Apocalypse Now), Tommy Lee Jones (Men In Black II), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon), Diane Lane [Judge Dredd), Rick Schroder (NYPD BLUE) and Anjelica Huston (Mists of Avalon).
Directed by Simon Wincer (Quigley Down Under) based on the award winning novel by Larry McMurtry. The original soundtrack by the renowned composer Basil Poledouris (Conan The Barbarian, Hunt for Red October and Cherry 2000), who won an Emmy award in 1989 for best original score for this epic mini-series. The CD features 14 Tracks (INCLUDING 4 TRACKS NOT HEARD ON THE CABIN FEVER CD release) totaling 56 minutes of music. The score is considered to be on par with such classic western film scores as Jerome Moross's THE BIG COUNTRY, Elmer Bernstein's THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, Jerry Goldsmith's THE WILD ROVERS and would serve as inspiration for John Barry's score for DANCES WITH WOLVES and James Horner's LEGENDS OF THE FALL.
